The natural learning project
نویسنده
چکیده
In “natural learning” the learner takes responsibility for learning. This responsibility applies to setting objectives, selecting active learning tasks, obtaining feedback, and making applications. Self-oriented skill training (SOS) provides a highly structured procedure to help the learner through the above four phases of natural learning. Of particular importance in SOS is the experiential exercise; this can put the learner through the unfreezing, change, and refreezing steps. The design of SOS is based on substantial empirical evidence. Results from five crude field experiments were consistent with the hypothesis that SOS increases the efficiency of learning. In a 6month follow-up, participants using SOS reported 2.1 behavioral changes vs. 0.6 for those following a traditional approach to learning.

Transition Potential Modeling of Land-Cover based on Similarity Weighted Instance-based Learning Procedure and Its Implication in the REDD Project Design Document
Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) is a climate change mitigation strategy employed to reduce the intensity of deforestation and GHGS emissions. In recent decades, drastic land use changes in Mazandaran province caused a substantial reduction in the amount of Hyrcanian forests. The present research based on objectives of REDD projects paid to identify of fore...
متن کاملA NOTE TO INTERPRETABLE FUZZY MODELS AND THEIR LEARNING
In this paper we turn the attention to a well developed theory of fuzzy/lin-guis-tic models that are interpretable and, moreover, can be learned from the data.We present four different situations demonstrating both interpretability as well as learning abilities of these models.
متن کاملEvaluating project’s completion time with Q-learning
Nowadays project management is a key component in introductory operations management. The educators and the researchers in these areas advocate representing a project as a network and applying the solution approaches for network models to them to assist project managers to monitor their completion. In this paper, we evaluated project’s completion time utilizing the Q-learning algorithm. So the ...

متن کاملTBM Tunneling Construction Time with Respect to Learning Phase Period and Normal Phase Period
In every tunnel boring machine (TBM) tunneling project, there is an initial low production phase so-called the Learning Phase Period (LPP), in which low utilization is experienced and the operational parameters are adjusted to match the working conditions. LPP can be crucial in scheduling and evaluating the final project time and cost, especially for short tunnels for which it may constitute a ...
